Ultimate Loaded Grilled Cheese
This loaded grilled cheese is packed with flavor, featuring gooey cheese, crispy bacon, and fresh tomatoes. Perfect for satisfying comfort food cravings all year long.
Ingredients
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup baby spinach
- Olive oil, for drizzling
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
- Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread and place four of them buttered-side down on a cutting board.
- Layer each with a slice of cheddar cheese, two slices of bacon, tomato slices, baby spinach, another slice of cheddar cheese, and top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
- Drizzle olive oil into the skillet and place the sandwiches in, pressing down lightly with a spatula. Cook until golden brown and the cheese has started to melt, about 4 minutes on each side.
- Season with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve hot.
