Spiced Date and Walnut Cake

- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped dates, boiling water, and baking soda. Let sit for 15 minutes until the dates soften.
