Slow-Baked Garlic Butter Shrimp

This garlic butter shrimp dish is ideal for a slow weekend dinner. The buttery sauce combined with fresh shrimp makes for an irresistible meal. Serve it with freshly baked bread to soak up all the delicious juices.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 loaf crusty bread, for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, then add the red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing them gently in the garlic butter sauce. Season with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and pink.
  6. Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Serve the garlic butter shrimp hot with crusty bread on the side for dipping into the sauce.
