Slow-Baked Garlic Butter Shrimp
This garlic butter shrimp dish is ideal for a slow weekend dinner. The buttery sauce combined with fresh shrimp makes for an irresistible meal. Serve it with freshly baked bread to soak up all the delicious juices.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 loaf crusty bread, for serving
Method
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large oven-safe skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, then add the red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and let simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet, tossing them gently in the garlic butter sauce. Season with flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and pink.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the shrimp. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the garlic butter shrimp hot with crusty bread on the side for dipping into the sauce.
