  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, parsley, and the sautéed onions and garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it on the prepared sheet pan.
  5. Spread the remaining 1/2 cup of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
