These pan-fried pork chops are a quick and easy dinner option that's full of flavor. Cooked to perfection in one pan, they're perfect for a cozy weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Method
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Season the pork chops on both sides with the spice mixture.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the skillet.
- Cook the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of at least 145°F (63°C).
- Reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Tilt the skillet to melt the butter and spoon it over the pork chops for added flavor.
- Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
