Simple Homestyle Meatloaf
This meatloaf combines simple ingredients to create a comforting and satisfying dinner. Perfect for a cozy spring evening at home. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup, for topping
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread the remaining 1/4 cup ketchup evenly on top of the loaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
