Simple Cheesecake
This simple cheesecake recipe is perfect for any occasion. It requires minimal ingredients and effort, making it an ideal dessert for beginners. Serve it plain or with your favorite fresh fruit topping.
Ingredients
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 24 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Method
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the sour cream until fully combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden. Allow the cheesecake to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
