Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- Sour cream, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Method
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large sheet pan with foil for easy cleanup.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and diced onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 7 minutes.
- Stir in the ground cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Arrange the corn tortillas on the prepared sheet pan. Divide the beef mixture evenly among the tortillas.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over each taco. Place the sheet pan in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are slightly crispy.
- Remove the tacos from the oven. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
- Serve immediately, allowing everyone to add their preferred toppings.
