- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
Method
- Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a large sheet pan with aluminum foil.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder to form a paste.
- Rub the spice paste all over the ribs, covering both sides.
- Place the ribs on the prepared sheet pan, meat side up. Cover tightly with another piece of aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the top piece of foil and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for another 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
