These perfect weeknight burgers are both satisfying and easy to make, making them a great choice for an indulgent yet healthy dinner. Juicy beef patties with a simple seasoning make this a favorite on any dinner table.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 80% lean
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, for grilling
- 4 large lettuce leaves, washed
- 4 slices of tomato
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Method
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty, slightly larger than your intended serving size, as they will shrink while cooking.
- Season both sides of the patties with sea salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them.
- Flip the patties and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by layering a lettuce leaf, a cooked patty, and a slice of tomato on each plate. Serve immediately.
