These perfect weeknight burgers are both satisfying and easy to make, making them a great choice for an indulgent yet healthy dinner. Juicy beef patties with a simple seasoning make this a favorite on any dinner table.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 80% lean
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for grilling
  • 4 large lettuce leaves, washed
  • 4 slices of tomato
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each into a patty, slightly larger than your intended serving size, as they will shrink while cooking.
  3. Season both sides of the patties with sea salt and black pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them.
  5. Flip the patties and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers by layering a lettuce leaf, a cooked patty, and a slice of tomato on each plate. Serve immediately.
