Oven-Baked Barbecue Ribs
These oven-baked barbecue ribs are perfect for a cozy winter dinner with family. The slow cooking process ensures that the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, while the smoky barbecue glaze adds a delightful flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 racks baby back ribs, membrane removed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Method
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl to create a rub.
- Rub the mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly.
- Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil, sealing them tightly.
- Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours.
- Carefully open the foil and brush the ribs with olive oil, then generously coat with barbecue sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake the ribs, uncovered, for another 30 minutes until the sauce is sticky and the ribs are caramelized.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
