These oven-baked barbecue ribs are perfect for a cozy winter dinner with family. The slow cooking process ensures that the ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, while the smoky barbecue glaze adds a delightful flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs, membrane removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Mix together the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt in a small bowl to create a rub.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly.
  4. Wrap each rack of ribs in aluminum foil, sealing them tightly.
  5. Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2 1/2 hours.
  6. Carefully open the foil and brush the ribs with olive oil, then generously coat with barbecue sauce.
  7. Increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake the ribs, uncovered, for another 30 minutes until the sauce is sticky and the ribs are caramelized.
  8. Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
