One-Pan Sausage and Peppers

This One-Pan Sausage and Peppers skillet is an easy and delicious meal perfect for any night of the week. With vibrant bell peppers and juicy sausage, it's a comforting dish that satisfies all year round.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 large bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Return the sausage to the skillet and add the chicken broth. Stir to combine and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
