One-Pan Sausage and Peppers
This One-Pan Sausage and Peppers skillet is an easy and delicious meal perfect for any night of the week. With vibrant bell peppers and juicy sausage, it's a comforting dish that satisfies all year round.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 2 large bell peppers, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Method
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and add the chicken broth. Stir to combine and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
