Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Method

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the penne pasta, ensuring it is submerged completely. Cover and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
  3. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Remove from heat and allow the pasta to rest for a few minutes to thicken. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
