Mexican Lime and Mango Tart

This Mexican Lime and Mango Tart is a delightful, refreshing dessert that brings together the vibrant flavors of lime and mango. Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Whipped cream, for serving

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined.
  2. Press the mixture evenly into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, lime zest, and egg yolks until smooth.
  4. Pour the lime mixture into the prepared crust and spread evenly. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the filling is set. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Arrange the mango slices decoratively on top of the tart. Serve with whipped cream.
