Juicy Pan-Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1 inch thick
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

Method

  1. Remove pork chops from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 15 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and ground black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the pork chops to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they have a golden-brown crust.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet.
  6. Baste the pork chops with the butter mixture for additional flavor.
