Juicy Homemade Burgers

These homemade burgers are perfect for a summer meal. They're juicy and full of flavor, sure to please family and friends alike.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef, preferably 80/20
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 slices tomato
  • 4 leaves lettuce

Method

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Form the beef mixture into 4 equal patties, slightly larger than the burger buns.
  4. Lightly brush the grill or skillet with olive oil.
  5. Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
  6. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
  7. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or skillet for about 1 minute, until lightly golden.
  8. Assemble the burgers by layering lettuce, tomato slice, and the burger patty on the bottom bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
