Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, garlic, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down evenly.
  4. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the top is browned and caramelized.
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
