Ingredients
- 200 g walnuts, roughly chopped
- 150 ml honey
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 200 g phyllo pastry sheets
- 100 g unsalted butter, melted
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, honey, and ground cinnamon. Stir until well mixed.
- Place a sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface and brush it with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and repeat the process until you have a stack of three sheets.
- Cut the stacked phyllo into three equal strips. Place a tablespoon of the walnut mixture at one end of each strip, fold in the sides, and roll up to form a log. Repeat with the remaining phyllo and filling.
- Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Brush the tops with more melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crisp. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
