Family-Friendly Beef Tacos

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 8 taco shells
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro, optional
Method
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine the flavors.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken slightly.
- Meanwhile, warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
- Fill each taco shell with a generous scoop of the beef mixture.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and cilantro if using.
- Serve the tacos immediately while warm.
