Easy Ground Beef Tacos

These easy ground beef tacos are a crowd-pleaser, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a casual weekend dinner. They're simple to make and can be complemented with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine flavors.
  5. Warm the taco shells according to the package instructions.
