Easy Baked Ham Dinner
This baked ham dinner brings comfort and warmth on those cool autumn evenings. Perfect for a family gathering or a cozy weekend meal, it's both economical and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 (6-8 pound) bone-in ham
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 pounds potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
- Flaky sea salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Method
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, and ground cloves to form a glaze.
- Brush half of the glaze over the ham, covering it evenly. Tent the ham with foil and bake for 90 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the potatoes and carrots with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Remove the foil from the ham, arrange the potatoes and carrots around it, and brush the remaining glaze over the ham.
- Increase the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 60 minutes, or until the ham is golden and the vegetables are tender.
- Allow the ham to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with the roasted vegetables.
