Classic Homestyle Meatloaf

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk. Let them sit for 5 minutes until absorbed.
- Add the ground beef, chopped onion, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the breadcrumb mixture. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 75-90 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
