Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the world with good recipes and help our local farmers gain business. Every recipe we publish points back to a real person growing, milling, curing, or pressing what you cook with, and every click on an ingredient sends business directly to them.
What we publish
One recipe at a time, tested in a real kitchen, written in plain language. No life stories before the method, no pop-ups between the ingredients and the steps, no twenty-tab navigation to find what you came for.
We cook seasonally because seasonal food tastes better, and we point you to the people who grew it because they are the reason the recipe works.
How we make money
No banner ads. No affiliate cuts. No sponsored ingredient placements dressed up as recommendations.
Vendors in our network pay a flat monthly fee to be listed. When you click "Buy" next to an ingredient, you go straight to the vendor's own checkout. They keep one hundred percent of the sale. We do not see the order, do not take a commission, and have no incentive to nudge you toward one shop over another.
What you can count on
Recipes that work. Every recipe is tested in our kitchen at the stated yield and timing before it goes live.
Vendors we trust. We taste before we list. We visit when we can. Vendors join by invitation or application, and we turn down more than we accept.
Plain English about money. Any time a vendor pays us, we will tell you what for.
